Our Dentists

Dr. Caroline Chu, DMD

General Dentist

Dr. Caroline Chu completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of British Columbia. She is a second-generation dentist, and has aspired to become a dentist since the age of 5, when she first observed her parents’ work.

After graduating from UBC, Dr. Chu worked in an office in the heart of Vancouver but is drawn to the island lifestyle after her friends moved here. She is eager to provide oral health care to patients in Nanaimo and Parksville.

Besides dentistry, Dr. Chu’s passions include playing the cello, skiing on the North Shore and Whistler, and playing fetch with her energetic toy poodle.
Dr. Jennifer McKenzie, DMD

General Dentist

Dr. Jennifer McKenzie grew up in Vancouver, B.C. and attended Simon Fraser University for her post-secondary education. She then received early acceptance to the University of British Columbia Dental School, completing her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry, and is now an active member in the Canadian Dental Association and the British Columbia Dental Association.

She has greatly enjoyed getting to know the families in her practice since 2000, especially watching the children grow. Time flies when you are having fun and Jennifer enjoys all aspects of her practice. When away from the office, Dr. McKenzie keeps extremely busy keeping up with her three children and their many activities. She enjoys reading, baking and traveling with her family whenever possible.
Dr. Ji A Suh, DMD

General Dentist

Dr. Ji A Suh completed her Doctorate of Dental Medicine at the University of British Columbia in 2021. With a love for exploring parks, trying new restaurants and traveling, she brings a vibrant and adventurous spirit to the practice. Dr. Suh is also a talented musician, playing the drums, piano and flute. Her commitment to precision extends from her artistic pursuits to her dental work. She is a compassionate dentist who prioritizes your individual needs, providing personalized care for routine checkups, preventative treatments, restorative treatments and cosmetic enhancements.

Outside the dental office Dr. Ji A finds joy and fulfillment in her family life. She is a loving wife to her husband and a proud mother to her daughter. Together they explore the beautiful parks and restaurants on the island, taking advantage of the natural wonders and culinary delights that the local area has to offer. Dr. Ji A is an avid traveler, always seeking new adventures and experiencing different cultures.
